WhealthWay was founded following my personal experience of finding an aggressive Renal Carcinoma better known as Kidney Cancer at the age of 40 having had no recognisable symptoms. Amazingly 8 days after being given this life changing news I was back in hospital for a 5 hour life saving “open” operation to remove my entire left Kidney. To say this was a rollercoaster of emotions is putting it mildly. Following a few serious infections, more surgery and 12 moths Immunology treatment, my personal road to recovery continues today and I am bonded to new friends I have met on my difficult journey. WhealthWay aims to help our members by making it easy to find someone similar to speak with and giving access to a range of useful information that could help when you need it most.
How did we start?
After my treatment I agreed to go on a medical trial but before making the decision I was introduced to a local patient on the trial who had been through the exact same trauma. We met several times, and it was clear we shared a lot in common. This has been a massive help to me personally to have someone similar to share my worries, fears, good news, and many other feelings this journey took me on. I wanted to create this support network for everyone as I personally know the benefits it has. Therefore whilst having my treatment I wrote the business plan and the business formed. We give anyone diagnosed with a serious illness, or their family and friends, a forum to easily find people who have been through similar experiences. Our respected members can akso find content that is relevant to their own personal journey, beliefs and preferences.
